This blog was born out of the desire to give my church a short theological taste of the sermons that are being preached on Sundays. It isn’t meant to be extensive (yet), but informative enough to help a church-goer say so that’s what the passage means.
I look forward to exploring all manner of topics, ultimately viewing them through the lens of Scripture. I think the Bible has a lot to say to our culture concerning those things that are right, good, and acceptable. Even if the culture doesn’t want to read about those things here, I still feel compelled to put my thoughts down. God will work in the strange way He does through this blog for my good and His glory.
The cornfedpastor is a city boy who is living out his faith in Louisville, KY, appreciating the charms of southern hospitality without being in the deep south. The cornfed aspect has more to do with the “salt of the earth” people I have come to appreciate instead of my diet or size. Since leaving the rust-belt of Cleveland, OH, the opportunity to hang tobacco, go frog hunting (that’s intentional), and cut hay breathes new life into my soul. My wife says I was born a southerner only I didn’t know it until I moved here; that may actually have a ring of truth to it.
If you have read up to this point, I applaud your tenacity and thank you for your time. Most of my time is spent with my 2 daughters and they are worth every minute I am not doing something else.
Grace and Peace,
